Message from the Executive Director
Over the past decade, I’ve had the privilege of hearing countless stories from our students—stories filled with resilience, sacrifice, and unwavering hope. I’ve listened to a single mother describe the painful choice between paying her water bill or her electric bill. I’ve met students who’ve had to decide whether to buy groceries or textbooks, to attend class or work an extra shift just to make ends meet.
These are not abstract challenges, they are the daily realities faced by so many of our students. And they are exactly why the Foundation exists.
Thanks to the generosity of donors like you, the Foundation will award over $1 million in scholarships this year. That number represents more than financial support—it reflects a community’s belief in the transformative power of education and the promise within every student we serve.
But while this milestone is worth celebrating, the need continues to grow. As the cost of living rises, the financial burden on our students becomes even heavier. Education is one of the most powerful tools to break the cycle of poverty—but only if students have the resources to persevere.
