The Applied Technology building (Academic Center 3) will be funded by not only Measure C, but by matching funds from the state bond program. The new Applied Technology building will be comprised of approximately 67,411 square feet; featuring labs and classrooms to support studies in environmental, health occupation, water and wastewater, food processing, and electro-mechanical technologies. Also included is a learning resource center, quiet study rooms, and student collaboration space; in addition to faculty and administrative offices.
In February 2022 Seals Construction, Inc. was awarded the bid as the lowest qualified, responsible bidder. The State Chancellor’s Office has authorized the award to bid, as it is partially funded through Proposition 51. Groundbreaking occurred on May 2, 2022.
As of September 2024, staff has moved in and classes have commenced. Ribbon cutting is scheduled for October 9, 2024 at 10AM. Please RSVP by Wednesday, October 2.
