Thank you for supporting the COVID-19 Emergency Aid for Students
We once again experienced the power of the generosity of our extraordinary community. With your support the State Center Community College Foundation was able to award over $85,000 to support our students in need who have been impacted by COVID-19. Due to many of our students losing their jobs, the funds are needed to purchase course materials, specifically for technology, to assist with online learning. There are also a number of our students who have expressed their need to provide food for them and their families. The funds have allowed our students to stay on track to attain their dream of earning a college degree or certificate.
Chancellor Dr. Paul Parnell sends his gratitude to those that have donated and and shares an update on the District in the video below.
There is still an opportunity to help even more students.
The Student Emergency Fund has been created in response to student financial hardships incurred as a result of the COVID-19. A gift to the Student Emergency Fund helps meet immediate and essential expenses allowing students to focus on their academic coursework. Your support will impact the lives of our students.
