About Measure Q
On Aug. 6, 2024, the State Center Community College District (SCCCD) Board of Trustees approved a resolution ordering the election of a general obligation bond measure to assist in expanding facilities at each of its campuses and centers, serving a student population in four counties.
This measure is a key piece to SCCCD’s deliberative process to align its mission, vision, and facilities plan into VISION 2035, a comprehensive strategy for investing in state-of-the-art facilities across the District that are responsive to the demands of students and the Valley’s workforce development needs.

- Institutes strict oversight and accountability measures, in accordance with Prop. 39 (2000) Creates a Citizens’ Oversight Committee to review expenditures

- Funds are barred from being utilized for administrator salaries and other operational expenses

Vision 2035: Support for Every Corner of SCCCD
Since December 2022, SCCCD has actively solicited input on the future of its facilities as it seeks to meet the demands of its students and the Valley’s future workforce. The plan, Vision 2035, is the result of 71 formal meetings with the public, college stakeholders, and SCCCD’s Board of Trustees. Vision 2035 and the accompanying college facilities plans were approved by the Board of Trustees in June 2024. If approved by voters, Measure Q will deliver key projects to every college within SCCCD.
