The current Madera Community College at Oakhurst campus, which includes 10 portables situated on four acres, will be improved through the construction of permanent facilities at a new location in Oakhurst.

In July 2018, the District purchased 30 acres of property on Westlake Drive in Oakhurst. Paul Halajian Architects, partnering with Steinberg Hart, was approved by the Board of Trustees in June 2018. Faculty, staff, and students have worked with the architects through the design development phase.

The new campus will include a mixed use building housing educational, administrative, and community spaces. Work will also include master planning for the entire campus.

Paul Halajian Architects, partnering with Steinberg Hart, was approved by the Board of Trustees in June 2018 to design the new site and facilities. Planning for offsite work is in progress with ongoing discussions with Cal Water for services to the campus and Cal Trans for required roadwork modifications. The California Public Utilities Commission approved the annexation of the property, which will allow Cal American Water to provide water to the site. The District is working with Madera County to identify a location for the water booster pump that is part of the agreement with Cal American water to provide domestic water to site.

A groundbreaking celebration happened on October 4, 2024. As of November 2024, footings have been dug, rebar, and concrete pouring is ongoing. Underground utilities have started and site utilities are ongoing.
