Step 2: SCCCD Student Portal (My Portal)
Within 24-48 hours after you have applied online, you should receive and Admission Acknowledgement email with your Student ID# as well as information for logging into My Portal. Once you know your Student ID#, you must login in on My Portal to access your Student Email Account, Self-Service and Canvas. These web-based services provide students with immediate access to their student profile/status and a direct line of correspondence from the college to the student for urgent notifications and notices.
SCCCD E-MAIL Access: SCCCD recommends students check their SCCCD student email regularly to ensure they are on the right track. SCCCD will send out periodic emails updating students on their enrollment status, Financial Aid warnings, and registration processes (It is important to check your SCCCD e-mail, as all district communication is sent via SCCCD E-Mail). Once activated, you may also have your SCCCD email forwarded to a personal email you designate.
Access Self-Service: Students can access Self-Service via My Portal. In Self-Service, students can access information and perform several functions such as: Finding out their registration date, register/add/drop courses, paying fees, checking financial aid information/status, and check final grades.
